Luanne Lui (born January 27, nicknamed "Lulu") is the youngest player of the Backyard league. She is known for carrying a teddy bear around at all times. After a hiatus between 2006 and 2015, she made her return in Backyard Sports Baseball 2015.
Appearance
Luanne is of Asian descent, with long brown hair usually kept in a hairband as well as wearing a yellow shirt and green pants. In later games she switches it out for a blue shirt and white pants.
Personality
Luanne is a four-year old girl who carries her teddy bear (referred to by her as simply "Teddy") around everywhere she goes. She talks in a stereotypical baby talk speech impediment. She pronounces most L's and R's with a W, and she sometimes uses "me" instead of "I". She is one of fastest runners in the league and a decent player. Later in Backyard Hockey, Luanne has a teddy bear backpack and her personality remains intact.
Player Cards & Skills
In the SCUMM era games, discounting generic kids and pros, Luanne is the second fastest runner after Pete Wheeler (whose running statistic is a 100 compared to her 96).[1] At bat, she does better at making baseballs go somewhere on the field than she'd ever normally send it over fences. Luanne's stamina is decent, letting her go places though it means stealing bases should be done with consideration, and a stronger batter to help her with the headstart. On defense Luanne is preferably a pitcher, given her mediocre throwing arm and risk of losing focus on the game, all despite a good catching ability or rather, in technical terms, coordination. Luanne's 55 stamina does mean no special pitches (not even the exhausting Fireball) should be made without a Juice powerup ready, Luanne's attributes are shared with her generic counterparts Earl Abbot and Grace Tipton, only they have more stamina but almost no aggression.
Luanne is the youngest ball player in the neighborhood, but probably one of the fastest. She says her teddy is her lucky charm.

Luanne has got a lot of skills for a kid who still carries around her teddy bear. Not much of a throwing arm, but has great speed on the basepads and can steam second before the catcher can even get the ball out of the glove. Luanne is also a super-fantastic pitcher with an outstanding 'fireball.'

Luanne moves fast for a kid with such tiny legs. But she won't go anywhere without her teddy.

She may be the youngest player in the league, but her blazing speed and reliable ballhandling make her look like a veteran twice her age. Of course, that would still only make her eight years old.
